At R/GA, we created film and digital content celebrating Shield being both the Official Deodorant of the Springboks and the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The film tells the story of Thebe, a passionate Boks fan on a frantic journey across Soweto to catch his beloved team play.
Like many South Africans, the destination is his local packed bar – a Shebeen. It’s here that many a fan watch the game from the best seats in the house – the roof.
Shot in Kliptown, it captures the rawness and colour of Soweto, as well as the immense passion the nation shares for Rugby.
